This afternoon, AC Milan were expecting to hear a decision about moving their game against Como to Australia. It didn’t arrive, though.
There has been a significant amount said about Milan and a potential game against Como down under this year. It is nothing new, really. However, the chances of it occurring are growing, especially after backing from the FIGC.

A game abroad is a popular topic currently, given that La Liga is also considering a game away from Spain – America, in that case. So, opinions are regularly flying about the possibilities and how the clubs should move with this.
UEFA statement
Today, as confirmed by the FIGC president, a decision was expected. However, after a meeting, the decision’s announcement has been delayed, as has now been made official by UEFA, via MilanNews.
“The Executive Committee discussed the requests from the RFEF and the FIGC to approve the playing of one domestic league match each outside their respective countries, specifically outside UEFA territory.

“The committee acknowledged that this is an important and growing issue, but expressed its desire to ensure it has the views of all stakeholders before reaching a final decision. There are many issues to be resolved, and as the European governing body, UEFA has a responsibility to take all these factors into account.
“Consequently, no decision was made today, but UEFA will initiate a cycle of consultations with all European football stakeholders, including fans.”
When a decision will arrive is unknown for now. However, the fact that fans are being consulted suggests it may be a while.

Why do we even have to add this piece of shite of an idea on our to-do list lmao. I guess we have not had enough stress yet.
I hope real Milan fan’s can see what FIFA is doing, not UEFA ….
Once again, why should milan give up one of their home games? What if that one game ends up biting us in the behind come end of season? Why should our players travel halfway across the world and experience a completely different time zone to get adjusted and suffer for the following games? BIG NO.
