The official UEFA website has updated its rankings ahead of the new season, and AC Milan currently rank in the top 20.
After taking into account the results from the 2020-21 season onwards, European football’s governing body have produced a new ranking of the top teams around the continent. As a reminder, this determines the seedings for next season’s European draws.

Milan are currently in 19th place, but the Rossoneri are not participating in any UEFA competition this season so the ranking does not have any bearing in that sense. Below is the full list:

What is also certain is that Milan’s ranking could well plummet this season, because they will not accrue any points at all given their absence from all three tiers of European competition.
The challenge for Massimiliano Allegri and his squad is to make sure that it is just a one-year absence, otherwise years of work getting back inside the top 20 places could be very quickly undone.
What a shame to see teams like Leverkusen, Roma, Benfica, Manchester United, Eintracht Frankfurt, West Ham and Feyenoord ahead of this once glorious club! Berlusconi brought us all that success and then he left Milan in horrible situation.

LOL yeah, Roma who has never won anything are ahead of Milan – these rankings are just BS.
There’s no magic to it. Uefa coefficient applies points to every win or draw that you get in European competition. They accumulate over time before eventually expiring.
The system intentionally equates similar points to Conference and Europa L as UCL. Roma have had deep runs in the Europa League most recent years.
I think UEFA started to apply more points to UCL knock-out games from last year.
2 European finals… And won conference league. You can tally points there. Same with west ham

Oh, the irony. We finally got a decent coefficient after successive years in the UCL and we can’t take advantage of it because we’re not in Europe. Which will kill our coefficient.
How can Manchester United be ranked ahead of Arsenal?
Was about to say the same….primed for a good run due to the coefficients and now can’t take advantage, the irony indeed. That’s what poor planning and choices do. Instead of paying an extra couple mil for a good coach, they cheaped out and got two terrible coaches and out of Europe altogether. Now many teams can overtake us this year in the coefficients. And thus we’ll get a worse draw IF we end back up in Europe. And lost more than the millions they cheaped out on in the coach in the first place smh 🤦♂️

Nonsensical rankings
If UEFA counts points since 2020.21 then Chelsea should be at least in etop 5 coz Chelsea won UEFA champions league and UEFA Europa conference league
