Vicenza director confirms interest in signing 19-year-old Milan goalkeeper

Vicenza sporting director Federico Balzaretti has admitted that they have an interest in signing a Primavera goalkeeper from AC Milan.

The Serie C side are continuing their dialogue with Milan after the meetings in recent weeks for Tommaso Mancini, the young striker who now seems destined to join Juventus despite several reports suggesting the Rossoneri were closing in.

Now, Vicenza sporting director Federico Balzaretti – who you may remember as being the former Roma full-back – has admitted to Trivenetogoal.it that his side are interested in signing Sebastiano Desplanches from the Primavera.

“We like Desplanches, he has different characteristics from the others. He is very good with his feet and is a possible name but it depends on the evolutions that will take place in the market,” he said (via SempreMilan.it).

If Milan were to let him leave it would obviously be with the intention of him having the chance to play continuously to establish himself as a professional. Milan opened to the loan without any option to buy in order to maintain control over his future, perhaps replacing Tatarusanu and Mirante in time.
