Hakan Calhanoglu is yet to get off the mark this season in the league, though he scored four goals in the Europa League qualifiers. In other words, it’s a matter of when rather then if for Milan’s No.10.
Since 2017, the Turkish international has scored 18 league goals from his attacking midfield position, making him the Rossoneri joint-top goalscorer. Zlatan Ibrahimovic also has 18 goals, arriving in January this year.
Of course, the stat is more an attack on Milan’s failure to sign a competent striker rather than Calhanoglu’s qualities. The 26-year-old is a key player for Stefano Pioli and scored nine goals last term. Take a look at all of his league goals below (since 17/18).
