Theo Hernandez got on the scoresheet last night as he secured the win for Milan against Benevento. It was an extremely important result for the Rossoneri but the goal surely means a lot for the left-back as well.
Hernandez has received some criticism lately but responded well last night with a solid display, along with the goal. He got a rating of 6.5/10 in our ratings and was thus one of the best Milan players on the pitch.
In an interview with MilanTV, which you can see with subtitles below, the former Real Madrid man spoke about the win and the upcoming game against Juventus.
“It was crucial to win tonight, all our remaining games are finals. We’ll need to fight and give absolutely everything to reach our objective. Tonight’s was an important goal because it doubled our lead, but what matters the most is the work the team did.
“We showed that we can play well and now we must focus on our next game. It’s a beautiful one (against Juventus). I’m very happy to have scored so much, I owe a lot to Pioli and I’m very grateful to him. He gave me confidence. I need to continue working hard and scoring goals,” he stated.
