Vitiello: Besiktas accelerate pursuit of Milan winger Messias – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Junior Messias has ended up on the wish list of Besiktas, who recently reached an agreement for the signing of Ante Rebic. The Brazilian could thus become the second AC Milan player to make the move this summer.

Messias is no longer in the plans of Milan and at the age of 32, the Rossoneri are well aware that this could be the last chance to monetise his departure. And on that front, work is well underway.

According to Anto Vitiello, Besiktas have accelerated their pursuit of the winger and talks are ongoing with Milan. They are discussing a permanent transfer and it remains to be seen if the Rossoneri can fetch the roughly €3-4m needed to avoid a capital loss.

Messias is currently struggling with a minor injury that he sustained in the game against Real Madrid. It’s possible that he already has made his final appearance for Milan, therefore, not expected top feature against Barcelona on Wednesday.

  1. I hope Junior will go and have good luck in next team, also for Milan to avoid capital loss.
Messias did very good job in Milan. He was very good deputy for right winger position. Milan bring him for fairly low price and he managed to have some impact in attack with very good defence tasks. When you compare how much juventus paid for Chiesa and what happened to him in 2 seasons Milan gain huge win with Junior.

  2. Torino was willing to value Messias at 4M which would have excluded a capital loss – but Pioli scuppered the deal (Messias + cash for Singo) – terrible. We are lucky to get 1M for him now

  3. So far so good on departures. Rebic gone, Junior close. Origi and B.Toure to go. pLus loans for Adli and CDK. Let’s trim this club like a Gyro.
