Vitiello: Milan receive two bids from abroad for Adli – the details

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan received two offers from two European clubs for Yacine Adli, it is claimed, but neither of them have been deemed good enough so far.

Adli was on the fringes for large parts of last season and has been asked to perform some difficult tasks towards the business end. He has waited for his chance in recent years, even transitioning from being a playmaker to a mezzala and then to a regista to try and convince Stefano Pioli.

There have been a number of reports suggesting his future at Milan is not certain and that bids would be evaluated, but also that the club could offer him a new contract. Paulo Fonseca is now the head coach, and may wish to evaluate him in preseason camp.

According to MilanNews journalist Antonio Vitiello (via MilanMatters), Milan have so far received two offers from clubs abroad for Adli, and they are teams based in Europe though he does not disclose the league.

The first one was a loan with option to buy formula, while the second was for a permanent deal but with a low transfer fee. These two proposals have not been taken into consideration by Milan, the journalist adds.

  1. Adli is among the select few players with proper Milan mentality. At times he was the one holding the midfield together while Bennacer looked like a child, so I’d never let him go unless a stupid offer arrived for him.

    1. He has the mentality but not the performances to match. He was average at his best and like a 12th player for the opposition at his worst.

      1. He was switched from atacking mid in to a defensive mid. Not so easy to perform in a new position that requaires a lot of different stuff from you then what you have been used too. Bring him back in his natural position and watch him shine.

          1. Don’t see him staying at Milan for long, except Fonseca can change the way he plays. He’s not been at his best.

          2. Adli is an AM and is better than RLC in dat role… But dullhead Pioli chose to play him as a DM… He has offered more than Musah and Pobega added together …

  2. At least try him out in his preferred position first before offloading?

He might not be the most talented in the squad, but he bleeds red and black and I respect that. Just wondering if Fonseca would be able to use him properly.

  3. Adli should be sold. He is nice guy and loves Milan but I said it last year and this year proves it correct — he is not Milan level
