There have been fears about Markus Krösche’s arrival this afternoon, but it appears AC Milan are still in a good position in the situation.
Earlier today, it seemed Milan had made three deals happen in the space of only a few hours, if that. Ruben Amorim was on his way and to accompany him were the Eintracht Frankfurt duo of Krösche and Harding.

However, suggestions from Germany this afternoon would lead you to believe things are not so straightforward. Indeed, contact between the clubs has not happened yet and there is seemingly no interest in the role, according to what has been said by the Frankfurt chairman.
No need to worry
Matteo Moretto’s report has been strengthened, though, with a little more context added by Antonio Vitiello, who took to X to give an update on the situation.
“Krösche has given the ok to Milan, now negotiations are underway with Eintracht to release him. The Germans are awaiting a call from Cardinale-Ibra. He will also bring along the 36-year-old Timmo Hardung as the technical director for a Milan increasingly focused on capital gains.
“Amorim and Krösche have already had contacts.”
In other words, it appears things are in fine order. If talks have occurred between the new head coach and the Head of Football, things are clearly heading in the right direction.

Normally you’d hire the sporting director first to see the options for coaches he is going to work with and what sort of players he’s going to buy/sell. Seems like we hired coach and then hope the SD we’re going to hire will somehow gel with the new coach.
According to sources Krösche was consulted about the choice of coach and chose Amorim over Glasner (he workd with Glasner at Frankfurt but it has been reported they didnt get along very well).
The order in which they are presented doesnt matter much. If Krösche in fact was consulted and chose Amorim over the potential candidates, and talked with him before hand as well, they are all hopefully on board with one another and on the same page.
