Zlatan Ibrahimovic will have the biggest say on what his future is at AC Milan but the signs coming from his body are not encouraging.
In his latest column for MilanNews, Anto Vitiello writes how the injury sustained by Ibrahimovic during the warm-ups of Milan’s 2-0 win against Lecce was almost moving. The Swede had a limp and is accompanied by a member of the medical staff to the dressing room, knowing he had a problem.
The choice on the end of his career at Milan is up to the player alone as he will be the one to say when enough is enough, but the signals to date are not encouraging from a physical point of view.
First Ibrahimovic had the operation on his knee, then nine months of rehabilitation and suffering followed. His long-awaited return to the field and the goal against Udinese crowned him as the oldest scorer in the history Serie A.
However, he suffered another muscle issue with the Swedish national team before returning and then he got himself fit enough to be named on the bench for the Lecce game, before getting another calf problem.
Vitiello concludes: “Reflections in progress for Ibra. Whatever he chooses, he will always be a hero for this club.”
His jersey sale are number 1 outside italy. If he want to stay with 1m euro nett salary/years that would be benefit for AC Milan but if he asking 3m euro +++ nett then better release him . Overall he is still the hero that help AC Milan resurect on dark time . He said dusan vlahovic are his successor in AC Milan but too bad we dont have money to buy dusan
Isn’t Vlahovic struggling to stay fit at juve?
so we have de money to pay milions for a medical team member? hero or not. Note, Milan did sell a super talent called Milos Kerkez for 1.2mio to Alkmaar which would have been the PERFECT back up for Theo, could have perfectly learn from him and collect many minutes in the english weeks in which a recovered theo is important. Now 1,5 years later this guy rise to 10mio value will move to bundesliga and in age of 22 for 50mio into premier league. Who ever is responsible in Milano and also if this guy is legend, throw in the towel and go
