AC Milan are looking for a new striker ahead of next season, but the chances of seeing Robert Lewandowski arrive are dropping.
Milan have had problems with their attack all season. Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic have battled physical issues as has Santiago Gimenez, while Christopher Nkunku and Niclas Füllkrug have not been able to contribute consistently after their arrivals from the Premier League.

So, the management are heading into another summer in which a top striker is needed. Countless names have already been linked, but it seems that Massimiliano Allegri wants a name with a certain weight, to guarantee goals ahead of what will hopefully be a return to the Champions League.
Vlahovic vs. Lewandowski
According to Corriere della Sera journalist Monica Colombo – who is always well versed when it comes to matters at Milan – there are already some preferences starting to emerge within the leadership.
For example, the CEO Giorgio Furlani doesn’t seem inclined to take a chance on Lewandowski, despite the fact that he is on an expiring contract at Barcelona. At 38 years of age, the Pole is in the twilight of his career and would represent a short-term fix at best.
Therefore, keep an eye on the outcome of the talks between Dusan Vlahovic and Juventus. The Serbian’s deal is also expiring and Champions League qualification could be key, so that game the weekend after next could carry some extra meaning.
Vlahovic has been the one that Allegri would most like, at least as per several reliable sources. The pair worked together at Juve and he very much fits the mould of being a typical centre-forward.

The only reason for it is that Vlahovic could be sold (at least in theory but Lewa less so). Once a banker, always a banker.
It’s basically what Barcelona decides. If they renew Lewandowski Milan can’t go for him. If they don’t and go for Vlahovic Milan is probably out of the picture. So it is whoever Barcelona doesn’t want.
You got it. What bothers me is not the age (i mean look a Luka) . It is the fact that we do not have a plan. If we go for Lewa, does that mean he is the transition to say, Camarda or Kostic ? If we dont, then what happens to them? So many bosses and directors and it’s like w do not have an idea.
Spot on. They have no clue.
They will have lost their patience with Camarda & Kostic by the time Lewa retires and that duo will be long gone by then. We all know it’s true.
Camarda is already finished at Milan. They couldn’t even copy from multiple clubs that know how to develop young players and have more than a few in their current teams. But it is Ibrahimovic and his friend that are in charge. 😀
The plan is to make a profit every season. They don’t have a sports plan. Just financial. It is evident.
100% its a business. Capital gains FC.
Furlani who knows as much about football as a lightly steamed turnip making transfer decisions…
That’s because Milan stopped being a sporting club a while back. Now its a financial instrument in Gerry’s hands.
No plan moving forward. No structure. Just bandaids. What is the purpose of Lewa? What does he solve long term? Nothing. What is the reasoning for Vlahovic other than he played under Allegri? The man recently got injured (again) in warmups….
Who is the coach moving forward? What system are we building around? Who is staying who is going? Who are we building around? Who’s in charge of the mercato?
More questions than answers.
That is how it usually goes. If you have more answers than questions something is wrong. 😀
