Dusan Vlahovic’s relationship with Juventus and its fans has seemingly reached the point of no return, so AC Milan could have an opportunity.
As MilanNews write, the barrage of boos directed at Vlahovic at Juventus Stadium on Wednesday afternoon during the friendly between the first team and the Next Gen caused a stir. The Serbian, who missed an easy goal one-on-one, was jeered as if he were an opponent.

He’s certainly unpopular with the fans, and a source of concern for the management: Dusan costs Juventus €42m, including his contract amortisation and gross salary. A huge sum that could only be justified by brilliant performances and impressive numbers, which have not come.
What next for Vlahovic?
What leaks is that if a suitable offer does not arrive, Vlahovic will happily remain in Turin, with his €12m net salary and a starting spot lost to Jonathan David. The pursuit of PSG’s Kolo Muani could make playing time even harder to come by, and in a World Cup year.
To date, the team most interested – as well as his most likely next destination – were Milan. At Milanello, he would have reunited with Max Allegri, even working under his idol Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, Igli Tare seems to be making a very concrete move for Rasmus Hojlund.
Hojlund is another disgruntled player, but for different reasons. Under normal circumstances, both would be extremely expensive, as their recent transfers demonstrate. Yet now, they could become cut-price opportunities.
Juventus probably asked themselves: does it make sense to go and solve a huge environmental, sporting and economic problem for a potential direct rival? Milan might wonder: Vlahovic has shown he can’t handle the pressure of the Bianconeri, so would he do better at San Siro.
The player must be reflecting: would he be willing to lower his salary to avoid upsetting the delicate balance in the dressing room? When signing a striker, a key position, at the end of August, it’s natural to find yourself faced with all these doubts. Milan cannot make a mistake.

Similar? Mitrovic had 25M and they’re even paying him out to leave. Hernandez has 20M. But I doubt Vlahovic will go there.

I think Hojlund is a better bet for Milan in this moment. He will be on trial for a season and if it doesn’t work out fine.
I have big doubts about Vlahovic. Yes, he had a couple of good seasons for Fiorentina, hitting 20+ goals in one, but he’s been off since joining Juventus. I’m not keen on “solving” this problem for Juventus or paying anywhere near his salary demands. Perhaps only if we got him for dirt cheap and paid him no more than 4M per year (and I don’t think he would accept this). Leave him at Juventus and let him hurt their bottom line. He serves us better that way.
I agree. Also, people are pointing out he is better suited for Allegri’s plans than Hojlund, but he seems to be a troublemaker in the dressing room as well. And this alone can hurt us more, even if he manages to score goals. At the very least we will have issues when it comes time for contract negotiations.
Just give him 7.5 and chop the difference off the transfer fee? He ends up making more over the next 4 years and he gets to play. Win win win.
Vlahovic is a much better signing than Hojlund, especially if we factor in the transfer cost.
The only advantage of signing Hojlund is that Santi Gimenez will probably be the default choice, and he’ll secure the starting spot in no time.
Vlahovic on the other hand, will probably get a lot of playing minutes by Allegri, and if he doesn’t put in the numbers it might disturb the peace in our attack.
Honestly, we should’ve just kept Jovic, and focused on other positions.
Not having a 9 will provide no reference to opposing defenses. Santi with Leao and Puli, or without Santi field the two and throw in an attacking midfielder to make late runs into the box – RLC, Jashari. even Okafor to move from side to side.
Do we really need to spend money on Vlaho or hojlund? What we do need is an experienced CB. I’d spend the money there.
We don’t need a headache. Hojlund and Sorloth are my choices. Sorloth might be more attainable but he’s older and a bit of a late bloomer. Still off a great double digit scoring season.

Vlahovic is a huge economic liability for Juventus, literally draining them for money.
He is causing troubles in the dressingroom at Juventus.
Why remove that headache?
He will do the exact same thing at Milan.
