An update has arrived on AC Milan’s pursuit of a new striker, and it seems that several names are still being explored.

Before the Coppa Italia round of 32 game against Bari at San Siro last night, Milan’s sporting director Igli Tare spoke to Mediaset and he confirmed that the club still want to sign a striker, admitting Rasmus Hojlund and Dusan Vlahovic are options.

Centre-forward pursuit: The latest

Matteo Moretto gave an update on Milan’s mission to sign a striker on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel. The goal is to find the right forward to partner with Santiago Gimenez to complete the attack.

Tare mentioned the two main names that Milan are working on the most: the first is Vlahovic, who is the favorite name that everyone would agree on, but only if the costs of the deal were to truly turn out to be an opportunity. That’s not the case today, but Milan will always keep an eye on things.

The other name is Hojlund, who is currently the hottest because he’s simply the one being worked on the most. This week is a ‘make or break for Hojlund’ as per the journalist, given the Dane hasn’t been called up to the Arsenal squad and therefore knows he’s out of the project.

In the coming days, there will be new contacts regarding Hojlund, and we must see if Milan will accommodate the requests, including the transfer fee. In addition to these two names, Milan is also considering other alternative options that could become hot if the first targets don’t arrive.

For example, this list includes a player Milan are very interested in: Nicolas Jackson, but this has always been a very expensive option. We’ll see if this option becomes available to Milan in the coming days and if Chelsea are open to a formula that could benefit Milan.

Therefore, we’re keeping Jackson’s name on the list, who Milan have been pursuing for over a year. There are also two other names on the list: Breel Embolo, who is at odds with Monaco, and Tolu Arokodare of Genk.

    1. Yep…May as well have kept Tammy or luka or hear me out…our own boys camarda and columbo. We can’t be wasting a summer of not integrating a striker to replace with a gamble of a lower caliber striker coming in who may hit between 5-10 goals so the same numbers as aforementioned strikers. I don’t know why we insist on these kalinic regens. Hopefully I’m eating humble pie in a week or two

    2. Look, it’s very simple, there are 3 market opportunities out there that increase our squad level dramatically.

      We should get 2 out 3 of/
      Dusan; Mois Keane and Lokman

Okafor has gone to Leeds for €20m+, this is the moves that now get us the Scuddeto

      1. Lookman would be worth the money Atalanta asks. Proven and lethal. And would be like showing the middle finger to Inter for their failed attempt to buy him. 😀

        1. Lookman isn’t a 9. He comes in from the wing like Leao. We have no use for him. Allegri wants a Lucca type 9.

          1. Didier jackson??? Skip, he is more worst than dusan or rasmus. But still he is more better than embolo. Embolo are the easiest and the cheapest option but he is emerson royale in striker version, buy him and you will regret

  1. Honestly we should have retained Abraham, and extended Jovic, but out of all the people mentioned,Tolu Arokodare of Genk would be better, he is big, has speed, power, technique, and will be more aggressive, Hojlund is overrated..

    1. Arokodare can have 0.5 goals per game on Belgium. I’m sure he would do better in Serie A. Looks like burning 20M on attacking Emerson Royal. Also Embolo.

    2. I think a lot of people don’t realise that Abraham is paid more than Leao – I liked him for Milan but he would have needed to take a hefty cut for it to be feasible.

      1. yup, that’s exactly why he was let go. Great guy, but for that salary, we would expect a starter level player, no questions asks.

  2. Noslin, its Noslin – Alexander voices ….
Fofana fit all sinter chances just in one game tonight and one of them was 50:50

    1. Also was a first time ever when Leao played better then Chukwueze but it’s probably Chukwueze was benched, EX
      * winter

        1. What he is trying to say is that:

While Chukwueze didn’t play and Leao did, bread does not taste the same when you go trough a window instead of a door and there is a plane flying overhead and red light means green and vise versa and pizza are squares and not circles.

          Wasn’t that hard was it?

  3. Vlahovic only wants big money
Hojlund only wants to be bench warmer forever with his boyhood club
    The perfect choice was Jackson.
