Sky: Walker could miss three games due to muscular issue – the latest

Kyle Walker’s injury in the game against Feyenoord on Tuesday could keep him out for a bit longer than what was originally hoped.

Walker has been almost always on the pitch since he arrived. He was a starter in two Champions League matches, against Roma in the Coppa Italia and in three league games, showing his importance early on.

It emerged after the 1-1 draw against Feyenoord in midweek – the game which sealed Milan’s exit from the Champions League – that he was not in the best physical condition. Sergio Conceicao then confirmed in his press conference that he will not be part of the squad for the Torino game.

However, Sky (via MilanPress) are now reporting that it is not just simple discomfort for Walker. In fact, he played on through the pain on Tuesday to stay on the pitch because there were no more substitutions available after he felt the issue.

The former Manchester City player will now be evaluated day by day, but the risk is that – in addition to Torino – he will also miss the two following matches against Bologna and Lazio, which could be fundamental in the fight for fourth place. More updates will arrive in the coming days.

    1. Season is already lost. And there is no guarantee what ever players you have in the team that: they will won 4th position or Italian cup.

So they need to be prepared in a time for summer and new mercato. All players who are in runner up position to leave – is best to leave even in winter mercato. That cut the looses in this season and crate space in summer. 2 million from Calabria loan is 2 million and saving half of his salary is half of his salary – saved.
There is no reason why Tomori or Jimenez wouldn’t be able to cover RB position in 3 games same like Calabria.

      1. Tomori was tried as a RB and failed miserably to say the least. Jimenez has potential but as or late he was mostly used offensively as a RW rather than a RB. Plus Jimenez could actually have been used as a LB.

        1. Playing Jimenez forces us to play Théo on the other side unfortunately. Unless we make a point and field Terraciano which may be more detrimental than not fielding the Frenchman…

  1. “Season is already lost.”

Milan is currently 6 points behind the 4th spot with 2 games in hand, and 14 games left in the season. How is the season already lost?
Milan is still in the Copa Italia.
They can finish top 4 , win Copa Italia and Supercopa and this would be the most successful season since 2011, but apparently the season is already lost.

How is finishing 4th even with winning Copa Italia and and Supercopa better than winning the Scudetto in 2021/22 ?

      1. You qualify for the UCL and you finish the season with 2 trophies.
Milan since 2012 has won a total of 3 trophies, so if you win 2 in the same season it is the most successful season in over a decade, especially with everything that has happened this season.
Bottom line, the season isn’t over. That’s a loser mentality to think that the season is over when there is so much they can achieve from today until the end of the season.
