Yacine Adli played really well in AC Milan’s 3-0 against Lecce and got two assists as a result of his performance. The second one, which was for the goal scored by Rafael Leao, really showcased his fantastic vision.
It has been a season of ups and downs for the Frenchman, but at least he has been given the chance rather consistently by Stefano Pioli. Today, he was certainly in a good and ended up getting a 7/10 in our player ratings, which was the highest score.
As said, the first assist for Olivier Giroud was good (coming from a corner) but the second one was absolutely lovely. He spotted Leao’s run very early and managed to get the perfect weight on the pass, allowing Leao to make it a 1v1 with the first touch.

Milan will take on Roma in the Europa League quarter-final first leg and it remains to be seen if Adli will start. He scored in the last game against the Giallorossi, so it might be a good idea to give him the chance again.

The pass is a mimic to Kaka’s through ball to Crespo in the Champions League Final. Adil’s vision is just astonishing. Hope he gets a coach that knows how to bring the best out of him in the near future, be it at Milan or somewhere else.
Didn’t Krunic deliver those passes every week? Based on the praises people give to the GOAT I’d think those were “nothing special” to that legend.
Look at YouTube highlights of Krunic and you’ll see him hitting some lovely passes and scoring a free kick (and then randomly never taking a free kick again afterwards).
Apart from that pass Adli was extremely shaky and at one stage hit a pass directly into an opposition player in our third.
Defensively he was basically not there.
Our priority this summer has to be to sign a new DM and to cash in on Adli’s through ball.

And looking at Krunic’s highlights it’s passing the ball backwards for 29 mins out of 30. Thrilling.
