Olivier Giroud’s AC Milan adventure has officially come to an end after three years, and the club have posted a video showing every goal he scored.
It was announced last month that Giroud will be leaving the club one his contract expires because he has decided to try a new adventure in the United States with MLS franchise Los Angeles FC. That meant the 3-3 draw against Salernitana was his last game, and he got a farewell goal.
The Frenchman will leave an enthralling legacy at Milan given his knack of being the man for the big occasion. Goals against Inter, Napoli, PSG and others stand out, and you can see each of his 49 official goals for the club below.
Someone one the podcast was criticizing his performances this year and that’s fair enough. But for me a striker has one job, to score goals. It doesn’t matter how he does it, only that he gets the ball in the net. One touch, two touch, with his head or his bum, it doesn’t make a difference. Giroud’s goal scoring record, the brace against Inter that sparked the title run, and his elegance and character make him a Milan legend in my book.
