Watch: Arsenal boss Arteta speaks on future of Milan target – “We’ll make the best decision”

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has suggested that they are in no rush to decide on Folarin Balogun’s future yet amid links with a move to Italy.

Gianluca Di Marzio reported yesterday that Balogun is a target for Milan as they look to sign a centre-forward while Inter have also been linked given that their pursuit of Romelu Lukaku reached a dead end.

Speaking to reporters in America where the team have just arrived, Arteta was asked about what the future might hold for Balogun.

“He played really well, now we’ve to think what is best to do. We want to see him, we want to experience him in the next few games,” he said.

“He played the last game against Nuremberg and he will do again in the next few games, and then we’ll make the best decision.”

Sky in the UK reported that Arsenal are understood to value Balogun at £50m (€58m) while he is part of the Gunners squad that flew out to the USA for their preseason tour.
