Francesco Camarda has finally opened his Serie A account, scoring the crucial 2-2 equaliser for Lecce in their game against Bologna earlier this evening.
Milan made the decision to send Camarda out on loan for the current season, accepting the offer that was made by Lecce. However, while the pre-season was very promising with many goals, the first few league games were a bit tough.

The pressure had subsequently been mounting on the 17-year-old but tonight, he responded in style. Getting away from his man in the box with smart movement, Camarda met the cross brilliantly and found the back of the net in the 94th minute.
Hopefully, it’s just the beginning for the striker, who actually started today’s game on the bench (he came on in the 67th minute). Perhaps Eusebio Di Francesco will consider him from the first minute next time out.

I’m happy for him. Many “specialists” criticized his moved to Lecce, argument is he is struggling at Lecce. Well… struggling is very good for such a young talent like him. Struggling goes to grow. He needs some frustration otherwise he can be to much full of himself. The fact he must give everything, to work harder in training and in official games to earn his spot is very good for him. After one season of intense fight for earning his spot in first team of Lecce he will be more mature one step closer to be a man , a fighter. No struggle , no grow.
Absolutely agree Enzo. Even though I could understand the sentiment of him instead being loaned out to a top Serie B team its certainly better being loaned out to Lecce and actually playing than sitting on the Milan bench. He has already played a decent amount of minutes for them and I’m sure he will play many more so I didn’t really get the commotion here either as he will only come back stronger so its a win win situation in my view.
Congratz to the 17 year old kid and hopefully many more goals will follow.
