Watch: Camarda scores winner for Italy U17s with fantastic finish

By Oliver Fisher -

Francesco Camarda continued his good form at the U17 European Championship as he scored the winner for Italy yesterday against Sweden.

Camarda and his team-mate Mattia Liberali scored a few days ago when Italy beat Slovakia 2-0, and he added another to his tally for the tournament last night as the Azzurri captured another group stage win.

Having been fed in space on the left side of the box, the No.9 opened himself up and fired with his right foot inside the far post, finding the back of the net with a lovely finish.

His goal comes after news during the week that the 16-year-old is getting closer to signing a new contract with Milan.

  1. We need to get our CF signing right this summer so that he’s ready to hand over to Camarda when the time is right.

A 30-something-Icardi-type-who-is-not-Icardi would set us up perfectly.

If we get it wrong (likely) then we’ll be signing another striker in January and every transfer window after that, and we won’t know whether we’re coming or going by the time Camarda’s ready.
