Watch: Cheers erupt as Castillejo scores two free-kick goals in training

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan had their final training session of the week at Milanello earlier today and the sun was out, making for a very good mood at the training ground. Samu Castillejo has shared some videos from the session.

The Spaniard hasn’t played since the loss against Napoli last year but he was able to show some qualities during today’s session. As you can see in the video below, he bagged two free-kick goals (albeit no wall) and the players reacted as you would expect.

It remains to be seen if Castillejo will get any more playing time this season, with just eight games remaining in the league.

  1. Scoring a “freekick”? it was free but not what we understand as a freekick. well, his time at Milan was just a couple of weeks when he benched Suso and scored goals, after that he fizzled out. he is all motion but no incision. the end result is lacking. seems Diaz suffers from the same thing: a lack of physical presence on the field. both are often bullied off the ball. no grit.
i believe he will play better in Spain or france. l

    1. Diaz is a great player, BUT just lacks the physical presense to be playing at the 10, especially with the evolution in Serie A of taller, stronger, quicker, more physical CBs. Pioli tried this with Kessie, but I would rather see Rebic there, he has played there before with Eintracht, he is a bully with the ball.
