Watch: Dortmund squad train at San Siro – the latest on their injury situation

By Oliver Fisher -

The Borussia Dortmund squad trained on the field at San Siro this evening giving them a first look that is very much a case of the calm before the storm.

San Siro will be full once again for the game between the Rossoneri and the Schwarzgelben, meaning over 70,000 spectators will be present just as they were against Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United.

The BVB squad trained at the Meazza tonight, and speaking during his pre-match press conference, Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic gave the latest updates on some players who were doubts and clarified why Schlotterbeck didn’t train.

“Haller trained with the team yesterday, and he came with us, as did Adeyemi, but he did not train yesterday; he will train today, and then tomorrow we decide. Sule decided this morning not to come to Italy – in any case there are Can and Bensebaini who can play as centre-backs.

“Schlotterbeck has a bit of a cold, but his condition is better than Sule. Today, he is staying at the hotel. Tomorrow, he’ll train with us at the hotel and will be there tomorrow evening.

“Sabitzer came off in the last league game with a thigh strain. Yesterday and today, he is training on his own, tomorrow with the team, and hopefully, he’ll be fieldable tomorrow.”
