Paulo Fonseca landed in Milano earlier this morning and just a few minutes ago, at the time of writing, he left Malpensa Airport. Several journalists were present and were able to get a ‘Forza Milan’ out of the manager.
Milan announced the appointment of Fonseca just over three weeks ago, but his arrival was always scheduled for the start of July. This morning, he landed at Malpensa Airport ahead of the first day of pre-season, which will take place on Monday.
Many journalists were present to capture the manager’s exit from the airport, before heading to the training ground Milanello. Fonseca posed for the cameras for a few seconds, said ‘Forza Milan’, and then got in the car.
The manager has a lot of work ahead of him and the first friendly is scheduled for July 20th, taking on Rapid Wien in Austria. In the first weeks of pre-season, the first team will work closely with Daniele Bonera and his Milan Futuro side.
