AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud notched a couple more international goals last night as France ran riot against Gibraltar, beating them 14-0 in a Euro 2024 qualifier.
France scored over 10 goals for the first time in any competitive game, and Giroud came off the bench in the second half to help add some gloss to the scoreline. His first goal was an instinctive low finish, and he got his brace with an overhead kick reminiscent of Rafael Leao’s against PSG.

He also have 1 disallowed goal that is not his fault. So his finishing is top notch albeit against weaker nation… still better than Thuram imo (in that match).
😀 saw this before i whent to bed yesterday and even though gibraltar isnt quite a behemoth of the sport its still a feat to beat them with such a high score and good to see that giroud bagged a brace and that none of our players got injured in the process either.
On the other hand Frances biggest ever defeat was against denmark losing 17-1 in 1908 😀
Funny enough arsenals youth team also beat liverpools youth team yesterday 14-3 where the 15 year old danish nigerian player Chido Obi-Martin scored ten of the goals for the gunners 😀

ABDULRAHMAN indeed not every day that happens but after i stopped playing football at a fairly young age i could one day see in the news that one of my former team mates had scored 16 goals in a cup match and had ended up under scrutinization by dbu even though there was never made a case. Things like that can happen in both youth and lower leagues/cup matches but its deffently also an anomaly that really shoudn’t happen either and understandable if it lifts some eyebrows 😀

The man is a legend …yes against easy opposition but still two great goals …if he had started the match ,I feel certain that he would have scored at least three goals .
