Milan looked poor to start the game against Hellas Verona, conceding early on to a Marco Faraoni goal thirteen minutes in, but managed to equalise before the break.
Two minutes before the half-hour mark though Milan did manage to get back on level terms. A foul from Veloso gifted Calhanoglu with a free-kick in a dangerous position, and his effort from 25 yards deflected in past a wrong-footed Silvestri in the Verona goal.
It marks the third goal in the last two games for the Turkey international after his match-winning brace in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday night.
