Oliver Giroud showed his class this evening as AC Milan faced FC Köln in the 2022 edition of the Telekom Cup. The Frenchman found the back of the net twice and thus sealed the win for the Rossoneri.
Stefano Pioli called up a lot of youngsters to tonight’s clash but fielded a decent XI to begin with, including just first-team players. Giroud was back after missing the game against Lemine and he showed his quality straight away.
He needed just 36 minutes to find the back of the net twice and both goals were a joy to watch. You can take a look at the goals below, as well as the lifting of the trophy by captain Ante Rebic. Köln pulled one back at the end after a scrappy corner.
