Ignazio Abate and his AC Milan Primavera side managed to beat the league leaders Lecce three goals to one yesterday. It was a great coup by the Rossoneri, who now likely will avoid relegation.
It’s been a rather strange season for Abate’s men as while they have struggled in the league, they managed to reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Youth League. And frankly, they deserved to reach the final as well.
They have won their last two league games, though, and yesterday’s win against league leaders Lecce was indeed an impressive one. Kevin Zeroli, Chaka Traore and Diego Sia were the goalscorers and Scout7Calcio has analysed why Milan won the game (see video below).
How Abate broke down Lecce U19 Midblock:
It was really interesting to see how Abate would build up against Lecce who played a Midblock dropping deep,he wanted to bait their ManOriented Press into our own half,to then Attack via "Transition" moment:pic.twitter.com/x9N0AXrcLx— ꜱᴄᴏᴜᴛ7ᴄᴀʟᴄɪᴏ (@Scout7Calcio) April 30, 2023
