As part of the latest bonus podcast episode, Oliver and Anthony discussed the role of Girgip Furlani and whether it would be best for AC Milan to move on from the CEO.
If you had to name the Milan employye that has received the most criticism in the last three years, it has to be Furlani. As the CEO of the club, he ultimately has the final say on every decision that is made, and he hasn’t always aligned with the fans on that front.
Above all, he has prioritised financial sustainability ahead of short-term success, which is something that definitely gets the fans going. Other times, he has decided to spend but on the wrong players, with some reports suggesting he was the one who pushed for Christopher Nkunku.
In the latest edition of the bonus podcast, Oliver and Anthony sat down to talk through the current structure of the management, what needs to change and how that could help the club. The conversation took an hour, so they had a lot to say.
In the free clip we published on YouTube, the two talked about Furlani in particular and whether he is overstepping, or if he is simply doing his job.

How would these 2 know anything about Furlanis job? 😂
You can’t even spell his name and you don’t understand his role. He’s a pen pusher. He signs the cheques. He doesn’t identify targets and, despite what people claim, the transfers have been a success under RedBird. Reijnders, Pavlovic, De Winter, Akethame, Modric and Rabiot are (were) a success. Gimenez, Nkunku and Jashiri have flopped. Overall that’s a positive. Of course, if Tare doesn’t get the CF issue resolved, he’s toast.
