Watch: Jovic and Pulisic score against Barcelona after excellent team moves

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s first half performance against Barcelona in their final USA friendly was very positive indeed, with Luka Jovic and Christian Pulisic each opening their preseason account.

Milan took the lead in the 10th minute of the game with a move down the right side. Yunus Musah surged down the flank before finding Samuel Chukwueze who slid Christian Pulisic in behind, with his cut-back buried from close range by Luka Jovic at the far post.

Six minutes after the opening goal, the Rossoneri made it 2-0 as Pulisic got a goal of his own having assisted the first. This time the move came down the left wing, with Rafael Leao’s perfectly weighted through ball finding the American who finished past Ter Stegen from a narrow angle.

That lead would slip away when Robert Lewandowski responded quickly and got another goal in the second half to draw Barca level, but Lorenzo Torriani was the hero in the penalty shootout as he made two saves to guide Milan to another win.
