Watch: Kalulu arrives for medical ahead of joining Juventus from Milan

By Ben Dixon -

Pierre Kalulu has certainly had an interesting summer, and it looks likely that it will end with the Frenchman leaving AC Milan.

With Paulo Fonseca arriving, experimentation was expected and a subject of it was Kalulu.

Before the mercato opened, rumours were suggesting that Milan wanted to explore the possibilities at right-back after Davide Calabria had a sup-bar season. Whether the idea was created for competition, or a replacement is yet to be seen, though.

Regardless of this, things seemingly changed when reports stated that Kalulu was impressing in the position during training, and with the Rossoneri’s pursuit of Emerson Royal going cold, the Frenchman looked to be in a good place.

Nevertheless, the deal for Emerson came back to light, and the Brazilian, as we know, has now signed for the Diavolo, leaving Kalulu in a difficult position, and Juventus have looked to capitalise.

At several points, there have been questions about the deal, but in recent days, things have become clear, and the defender has travelled to have his Juventus medical this morning, as shown by Romeo Agresti.

Fans are still questioning the deal, given it is directly strengthening a rival, but given the Frenchman had no place within the squad, it also adds money to the books. Certainly, a difficult one to review.

  1. We’ve lost a player that can actually play, whilst we still have a host of ‘bar flies’ that no-one wants (Adli, Ballo Toure, Origi, Pobega, etc).
    I’m sad to see him go tbh

    1. this is only the start, I assume.

      we still need to sell Origi and Ballo Toure, plus at least 1, ideally 2 first team squad, foreign player.

    2. Well, we have a ton of players and not all of them will play.
      It is what it is.

      Even if he stays he’s 4th option at best. Pavlo will take the lcb. Rcb Tomori and Gabbia are ahead of him and thaiw.

      1. We could at least loan him out for a season or 2… One day we have finances, the next day we are still broke after spending peanuts… Then Zlatan turns into a Jehovah witness and tells us that apparently he’s the one keeping Cardinale in check or we would have been spending like Chelsea…

        Jovic, RLC, Pobega, Adli aren’t on our level.

        RLC -> Kone
        Adli -> Locatelli/Ricci
        Jovic -> ACTUAL ST

        None of this will happen, people will b*tch that Italian football players are $hit, but I swear to god if Atalanta don’t seem like the best team in Italy right now…

        They signed Brescianini (who was wanted by Conte, but who’s he compared to our bright scouts here), Retegui, Bellanova… Also CDK deal was embarrassing, should have sold him to EPL or just bench him

    3. he can play but we wont use him much. that’s why he’s the first to leave. I still have hope for Adli, although, he’s the one gathering the most interest. lol i mean who wants freaking Origi or Toure.
