Watch: Leao involved in expletive altercation with journalist after Roma defeat

By Oliver Fisher -

It would be fair to say that Rafael Leao seemed on edge after AC Milan’s 1-0 defeat against Roma in the Europa League last night as he had a verbal altercation with a journalist.

As the players leave the stadium they have to go through what is called the ‘mixed zone’ where they sometimes answer the questions of journalists who were not present at the press conference.

Leao was filmed heading through the mixed zone after he struggled against Roma, leaving the field to jeers from the crowd, though it is uncertain whether they were for him or for Stefano Pioli’s decision to bring him off.

As a video posted on VoceGiallorossa shows, a journalist said “Here’s Leao leaving [the stadium].” It’s not clear whether the reporter had said something before that, but Leao stormed over and said: “What the f*** do you want?”. The journalist said he couldn’t reply because he was on live.

    1. For me its not really about if a player scores or not but that he actually works his socks off while looking like he is actually somewhat interested to be there. Goals and assists can be missed but the attitude should always be the right one and considering how much he is paid we can certainly expect a lot more from him than we saw yesterday.
In the end he generally offers a lot of goals/assists combined but the performance yesterday was unacceptable from my point of view but the same can also be said about the majority of players that got fielded.

      1. This!
Its his attitude I dislike. Talent isn’t everything.
Watch the top clubs, you don’t just see anyone walk around the pitch like he has somewhere better to be.

No way he plays for a big club like Real Madrid or Manchester City with this kind of attitude. Despite his obvious talent.
