AC Milan’s third goal of the afternoon came in controversial circumstances, with Lecce caught on the counter following claims for a penalty.
The visitors broke into Milan’s area and Almqvist was brought down, but the referee did not halt the game. Instead, Milan broke away on the counter as Yacine Adli found Rafael Leao raring to go on the counter attack. The Portuguese winger faced no challenge from the defender and slotted it past the goalkeeper to make it 3-0.
