Sandro Tonali got to choose the song at Newcastle’s training ground ahead of the Champions League encounter with Barcelona, and AC Milan fans will be very familiar with his choice.
As Newcastle prepared for the game against Barcelona, which ended 1-1 after two late goals, journalists and media were present at the training ground to watch the English side. This is standard for Champions League, i.e. the media being invited to a training session.

As highlighted by TNT Sports, it was Tonali’s turn to choose the song during the team’s warm-up. He decided to go with the Ricchi e Poveri classic “Sarà perché ti amo”, which to Milan fans is known more as the “che confusione” chant.
While it could have been just because the original song is good (it is, we agree), one can’t help but think that Tonali chose the song to get some Milan vibes in the area. Either way, let’s hope we see him back in the red and black shirt one day.
This is embarrassing. Have we been reduced to a clown show by a player who chose Newcastle United over us? It’s enough to have our club being disrespected by anyone and their mother, like that Irish Guy on YouTube, I can take the disrespect from Calhanoglu, but this is just embarrassing. Not to mention Inter and Atalanta doing their absolute best to clown the entire league in Europe. The state of Italian football has now reached 90’s Premier League status.
Some of our fans obsession with Tonali is pathetic and desperate.
He plays a popular Italian song and people right away connect it with Milan and how he is coming back.
It will be even funnier when he ends up at Juventus next season while playing a song that is used at the stadiums to mock Juventus

Nobody is forced to leave, especially not important players.
According to Theo then he himself was told that if he didn’t accept to be sold to the Saudis then he would not see any minutes until his contract would expire which would then completely ruin his chances to get called up for France in the world cup so what you are saying is rather debatable.
Theo situation was totally different.
He had 1 year left on his contract and they weren’t going to give him the money he wanted, so instead of letting him leave for free they told him to find a new club.
Tonali had a very long contract and wasn’t a headache in the locker room.
So you are comparing apples and oranges.

The statement from StamKakaCafu was in regard of players not getting forced to leave so everything else doesn’t matter in regard of that as its just moving the bar in regard of his statement. When that is said if you really want to take it there then Theo also said that he was willing to renew his contract and that the reports of him demanding a huge salary wasn’t correct either according to himself. In fact he also said that he wanted to stay at the club for many more years.
So everything Theo says is the gospel or maybe he says things that will make him look good.
In the same interview he also said that he didn’t have any problems with the coaches last season when we all know he did.
Whatever salary he demanded the team thought he wasn’t worth it based on his performance and behavior. There is a reason he plays in Arabia and not in Europe.
Athletes are media trained to fool gullible fans.
Of course I didn’t say that but you are clearly just moving the bar for what was said further up so there really is no point of furthering the discusion.
Fact is Theo was forced out of the club when he was vice captain at the club.
Theo forced himself out with the way he acted, that’s the part you are missing.
He can say anything he wants in the aftermath and you are free to believe him.
He went to a league where players go solely for the money but you believe him when he says that he didn’t ask for a huge salary.
Anyway, Milan is doing just fine without Theo.

Question wasn’t whether we are better off or not but whether players was forced out of the club which you apparently doesn’t seem to understand. Spin it as you want but it doesn’t change the fact that it is the most likely scenario.
Martin you’re comparing apples to elephants. Theo was forced out because he was an a**h*** who cared more about staying fat than winning games. Theo has no one but himself to blame. He was one of my all time favorites but his attitude and approach was so freaking poor I wanted him gone more than Origi. Ppl forget his last two seasons he was a statically the worse defender on the team by a wide margin and that includes Emerson Royal.

I think you both have points. Martin, is correct as to giving an example of a player being “forced” to leave a club, as most players don’t want to sit in the stands, particularly when their future is at stake.
That said, Coco is also right in that at the end of the day it’s still a choice, because Theo could still have chosen to stay for the remainder of his contract and sit in the stands. Just like Origi did.
You can argue that but Theo also had a lot more to lose as he is pretty much otherwise guaranteed a call up for the national team in a world cup year where Origi wasn’t even a fringe player any longer for Belgium and hasn’t even played an international match since 2022. Either way Theo was forced out of the club and that is the entire thing that I opposed as it seemingly did happen. Personally I’m glad that Bartesaghi has gotten some room and I certainly wasn’t happy about all of Theos antics but that is an entirely different discussion.
People should actually read articles and interveiws. I know it goes against their agendas and aspects but anyway.

My cousin is a diehard magpies fan and he’s convinced Tonali loves them so much he’d turn down more money to stay with them. My cousin is so confident that Tonali loves Newcastle like he does that he’s dismissing the links to Man U and Arsenal as classic big club links for popular players. So if magpie fans feel like Tonali loves them most and won’t leave for a club with more prestige and the club itself isn’t stressing about losing him (in fact I since Tonali will sign a big fat extension this summer) where do these self proclaimed journalists get the notion he longs for Milan from?
