Mike Maignan was named in the starting line-up for the first time in over five months and will be between the posts for the game against Atalanta tonight.
It has been 161 days since Maignan last started a game for Milan – the 2-1 home defeat against Napoli to be precise – and there were times when it felt uncertain whether the Frenchman would return this season at all after multiple calf set-backs.
However, he is back and fully fit now, with the San Siro crowd giving him a warm reception as he came out for warm-ups.
