Daniel Maldini scored the winner for Monza in the 3-2 clash against Genoa this evening, bagging his second goal for the club. Indeed, it seems the AC Milan loanee made the right decision to switch clubs.
Maldini was initially loaned out to Empoli but after a lack of playing time, he joined Monza instead in January. He bagged his first goal against Salernitana two rounds ago and followed that up with the winner tonight, with Monza clinching a crucial 3-2.
The attacking midfielder helped set up the attack and then made the most of a rebound, as you can see in the video below. Milan are watching on with a smile, although it remains to be seen if he will be in consideration for the first time in the summer.
The Rossoneri will take on Maldini’s former side, Empoli, tomorrow afternoon and a win is needed to leapfrog Juventus and thus put pressure on the Bianconeri ahead of their game.
