AC Milan loanee Luka Romero was the protagonist for Almeria this evening as he scored a brace in the 2-2 draw at Power Horse Stadium. Both of the goals were lovely strikes as well, showcasing his lethal left foot.
Romero impressed during the pre-season for Milan, scoring a screamer against Real Madrid, and many expected him to get playing time during the regular season as well. However, after failing to impress, the Rossoneri sent him out on loan to Almeria in January.
The best solution for all parties, especially for Romero who was guaranteed playing time. Since joining Almeria, the 19-year-old has made three appearances and his best one came tonight. Playing from start against Atletico Madrid, he bagged a brace to help his side secure one point.
The first goal was a great strike from outside the box, catching the goalkeeper off guard, and the second one was even better with an outside-of-the-boot shot. Certainly, he proved what he’s capable of with these goals and you can see them in the videos below (if they are down, check the official highlights on YouTube).

Another Milan loanee ballin’ away from the brilliant genius of Peeoli.
2 great goals vs probably the most defensive team in the wholr world.
What has any of this got to do with Pioli?
Meanwhile Pioli was trying to build a team around Krunic. 😵💫
Goes to show you Rade efin Krunic. This kid will be great under a good manager, if we are lucky to keep him
Krunic is a working player and if he can improve on his game intellect, then he can do good. My post was more against Pioli than Krunic.
The second goal is out of this world. Fantastic, simple as that.
Let’s see if Romero ended up like Gabbia who got more experiences and played better after loan to la liga.
Gabbia played 7 times under 4 different managers in less than 6 months.
He’s just been given game time at Milan.
We don’t need to pretend loaning players actually works or is intended to develop them. It’s just about keeping the conveyor belt moving.
LOL. Sure. Every loan has been a disaster to everyone, right? Someone’s a broken record…
In the past 15 years not a single youth player who was sent on loan has established themselves in the first team.
ZERO.
Gabbia might be the first but if he puts a single foot wrong he’ll no doubt be dropped. Even if he continues he’ll probably get replaced by one of our old signings or this summer with some new signings.
Why are people so triggered when I criticise the transfer market?
Apparently people can insult the manager and players but if anyone dare question the transfer market….
We can only hope we have a new manager like De Zerbi when he gets back from loan
La Liga probably suit him better. Had him as my break out player over Chuk. Hope he continues to do well
potential pure capital gain or trade material, profit is everything
No football is everything.
If you like money so much go watch the bankers championship.
Where is Pioli?
Poli should be thrown out
If we sell Leao to PSG it would be interesting to see a team with a lefty on the right (Romero) and a righty on the left (Pulisic)
Romero giving Furlani and Gerry a boner thinking of the capital gains they’ll make from his sale. His and Chaka’s.
He’s too small for Serie A. The slower pace of La Liga suits mediocre players.
It was not just that. Current Milan sides passing game is almost non existent. Pioli thinks every player is a Messi and the end result is players running alone into a crowd of defenders. Players like Romero and Chuk can benefit if the play is based on quick passes between players.
For me pioli lacks faith in young players and that is bad, look at lamine yamal
