Watch: Morata greets the Galatasaray fans after landing in Istanbul

Alvaro Morata has said goodbye to AC Milan and will soon sign his contract with Galatasaray. Earlier this afternoon, he arrived in Istanbul and as expected, he was greeted by many fans at the airport.

As Milan entered into advanced negotiations with Feyenoord over Santiago Gimenez, who now has completed his medical , the Rossoneri also started working on Alvaro Morata’s departure. Galatasaray jumped on the opportunity and managed to reach an agreement.

Earlier this afternoon, Morata landed in Istanbul to complete the transfer, as captured by beIN Sports. Many fans were present outside the airport, as is tradition when Galatasaray welcomes a new player, and the Rossoneri man looked very happy.

The formula of the move is a six-month loan, which then will be extended by 12 months in the summer (18 in total). There is an option to buy in the contract which could become an obligation under certain conditions, as explained by Matteo Moretto.

  1. Incredible. At first I didn’t believe it because it defied logic completely. But then here we are… it’s actually happening. This is our “marquee” summer striker signing….the one which management said we’re going to base the team around and now he’s gone in 6 months. What?? I’m trying to recall something similar in recent memory for a starting level player. This is nuts.

Did god (Ibra) backtrack on his creation or he didn’t reach Day 7 yet? I would say I’ll wait for the Redbird fans to explain this one but it’s too early to listen to the mental gymnastics.

  2. If Morata comes, what happen to Osimhen? Someone said that Juventus di Merda wanna offload Vlahovic and sign Osimhen, dunno if they really can afford that player.

    1. @Roses

Yes supposedly they won’t extend Vlahovic in summer will allow him to leave to EPL (maybe Arsenal or Man United?)

Juve looking to replace him with Osimhen. Have to remember that they have revenues from their own relatively modern stadium, allows them to outspend most Serie A clubs.

I’m satisfied we’ve moved from 20mn to nearer 40mn signings. A shame we haven’t sorted out the stadium when they were discussing it back in 2020… it could have been completed by now!
