Watch: Nightmare minutes for Abraham – sitter missed and injury suffered

Coming off the bench in AC Milan’s game against Udinese on Saturday evening, it quickly went downhill for Tammy Abraham. Right after missing a sitter, the striker suffered an injury and was forced to leave the pitch.

Abraham has largely been a very good signing for Milan, adding energy and intense pressing to the game, which was crucial above all in the derby against Inter. However, with just one goal and plenty of missed chances (including a penalty), improvement is needed.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see the latter against Udinese after he came on in the 72n minute. Just three minutes later, he pounced on a rebound from the Udinese goalkeeper but was able to convert from close range. He lost his balance and landed awkwardly, injuring his shoulder in the process.

He was in great pain, as the microphones picked up, and was subbed off in the 77th minute. In other words, it was a nightmare for the Englishman who continues to struggle in front of goal. We can only hope that the injury isn’t too serious, with initial reports confirming that it was just a trauma.

  1. He started so well… Also confused by how he and Tomori acted, it was clearly targeted at Puli… maybe Christian tried messing with the old hierarchy and got push back from the team?! super confused, both brits and Theo acted super unprofessionally and we still have no info…

Chukwueze and Okafor needed minutes apparently… if this becomes a norm vs not so hard opponents, I would be impressed with Fonseca. They really had the most memorable games under us.

Thiaw also surprisingly lack of game losing mistakes, he seems to grew up a bit.

Lack of Futuros isn’t nice, but yesterday both Udinese and their ref really tried to make us lose points… better team won in the end!

But midfield is too exposed. We need both Frendrup and Ricci in winter.

  2. This guy have a strong will to deliver, he has just been unfortunately unlucky… I prefer that energy to leao’s who’s always smiling when he was supposed to be crying 😂

    1. No. Abraham needs to practice shooting with his left foot god sake. The guy is a one foot striker and it blows my mind how a striker at this level can’t shoot with both feet.

Every chance he has missed ALL occurred when the ball was on his left side. Abraham is a lame striker and I hope he’s out until January so that Milan can push for Gimenez.

      1. “He needs practise” …as he is 15 years old,if he didn’t learn to use left foot until now ,he will never learn

“Push for gimenez” ,in which world u live? Milan to go for a 50+ mil player?? 😂😂

      2. Well, Messi has only ever used his left foot and had a pretty good career. Must blow your mind, right?
So I guess a one-footed player could be successful if they are good enough.

        1. How much of Messi did you watch ? He scored about a 100 goals with his right foot, including chipping goals, and shots from the box’s limit. This is not Chukwueze

          1. When you have Messi’s left foot you barely need to use your right. How’s Tammy’s better foot? Worse than Messi’s weaker one though. So there’s also that…

  3. messi have scored over 100 goals with his left foot about 20% of his goals are with right foot which still is decent abraham needs to finish better and milan would never oay 40+ million for giminezthey have some dumb policy that they have kept that says “no player over 20 million

    1. I think this €20 million policy changes next summer, after Moncada is fired. Now, because of his racism, we need Italian players and the Italian players we need will not be cheap. We could have had Retegui last season, but instead kept signing midfielders.
