Watch: Okafor and Reijnders combine to restore Milan’s lead vs. Brugge

AC Milan conceded an equaliser against 10-man Club Brugge at San Siro, but managed to restore the lead after 60 minutes thanks to Tijjani Reijnders.

Just before the hour mark, Fonseca elected to make a double change as Leao and Ruben Loftus-Cheek made way for Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze. The removal of Leao in particular seemed to draw jeers from the home crowd, however it would prove to be an inspired change.

Okafor picked up the ball on the left wing a minute after coming on and surged down the left side, beating the full-back to the byline and producing a fantastic cut-back that Reijnders was on hand to drill in first time past Mignolet and into the back of the net.

The Swiss can perhaps feel a bit aggrieved to have not been in the line-up given how he performed against Udinese on Saturday, but he made his mark.

  1. I’m so happy with what is happening with Leao. Pulisic has shown from within that Leao is below average. Okafor performing like this is soothing, it’s more competitive on that wing now
