Pato Milanello dec 14 2024

Watch: Pato visits Milanello ahead of Milan’s 125-year ceremony vs. Genoa

Alexandre Pato will be on the San Siro turf for AC Milan’s 125-year ceremony tomorrow, along with several other legends, and he decided to stop by today’s training session at Milanello as well.

Pato quickly became a fan favourite during his time at Milan and the high potential was evident, but unfortunately injuries brought his career to a halt. He has never hidden his love for the Rossoneri since leaving, though, and he continues to be very popular among the fans.

Scheduled to step onto the San Siro pitch tomorrow, together with many other prominent ex-Milan players, Pato also decided to stop by Milanello. In addition to speaking to the players, above all Rafael Leao, he also greeted the fans and took pictures.

It remains to be seen if Pato will be able to celebrate a win at San Siro tomorrow. Paulo Fonseca made it clear during his presser that they must do everything to honour the history of the club, putting in a worthy performance.

  1. he’s still a pro footaballer even tho he is no were near as good as he was before i bet he is better than half of our current squad

  2. Our current crop should learn from Pato’s heartbreaking story. I remember him at 19 winning would young player of the year, torching Serie A and Champions league defenses then suddenly everything collapsed. Mental issues exhibited by players these days are so overrated when compared to real debilitating injuries that ended such a promising career before it truly started. Players like Theo need to understand that it could get much worse than the mental barriers they face like it did with Pato. Everyday they get to train and play is a blessing not a right. A player’s career can go off the rails in a very short time due to factors that make Mental issues seem like a joke. Just ask Ricky Kaka or Pato or Marco Van Basten.
