Watch: Rebic and an own-goal help Milan pad their first half lead to 4-1 vs. Vicenza

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan recovered from the worst possible start against Vicenza in the best possible way as they overturned a 1-0 deficit after 20 seconds and turned it into a 4-1 lead before half-time.

After Rafael Leao and Junior Messias scored to turn the game on its head, Milan continued to cause havoc down the left flank and Rebic got his name on the scoresheet. Theo Hernandez combined with Leao and the former cut the ball back to the former Eintracht Frankfurt man, who fired home first time with confidence.

Moments after they made it 3-1 Milan added a fourth goal and yet again it came down the left flank. A combination between Rebic and Theo this time saw the latter put a dangerous cross in that could only be diverted into his own net by the Vicenza defender.

  1. It’s easy to think Rebic’s pass to Theo was bad but seriously that guy is like a speeding bullet. He made the pass look so precise. With performances like this, we no longer have that element of surprise so I guess the boys will have to learn to suffer as Gattuso put it.
