Tijjani Reijnders has been on fire with the Netherlands as of late, impressing everyone during the Euros in Germany earlier in the summer. Yesterday, he was back with the Oranje and he not only scored but also assisted.
While Milan fans were well aware of the midfielder’s qualities, others were taken aback by his high-quality performances at the Euros. His starting spot with the Netherlands is now undisputed and yesterday, the No.14 proved that once again as he scored and assisted against Bosnia.
The goal was very well taken, combining with Joshua Zirkzee (who almost joined Milan), and the assist came after a nice run on the right flank. He almost bagged a screamer as well just a few minutes before the goal, once again combining with Zirkzee.

The Netherlands ended up winning the game 5-2 and thus jumped to the top of their Nations League group, level on points with Germany. It remains to be seen if Paulo Fonseca will play Reijnders in a No.10 role of sorts, as he clearly does very well closer to the goal.
I guess we could have had this same duo in Milan. Shame but almost, had it not been the ransom from his agent which I would also never pay.

Koeman use him in 4231 below striker while double pivot jordy schouten & ryan graveben. Why not fonseca try that too , bench RLC use bennacer & fofana as double pivot with tiji below striker , he can combine with tammy . And give back RB spot to calab, he is useful on defense rather than emerson
Yup, if fonseca wants to use 4231 then rejinders should play as the number 10. And fofana ans Bennacer can play in the double pivot.

I said it from Euro as well. If we really have to play with 4231, we really need to try to field Tijani as the AM, just like Netherland. It’s crystal clear that he has a more natural attacking flair. Moreover we have Fofana now.
Or simply change it to 433 as we really have all the player materials for such pattern.
