AC Milan failed to break the deadlock in their game against Inter this evening and will thus have to get on the scoresheet in the second leg instead. Replays show, however, that they perhaps should have a had penalty.
Throughout the game, Olivier Giroud had quite the battle with the Inter defenders. Some duels he won, some duels he lost. In the second half, he was brought down by Milan Skriniar in the box and replays show it perhaps was penalty-worthy.
Skriniar didn’t get the ball and prevented Giroud from making a move towards it, eventually bringing him to the ground. You can take a look at the incident in the video below; was Skriniar lucky to get away with this one, or did Giroud exaggerate?

“if you slow a replay down, squint really hard and have huge levels of confirmation bias, Milan should have had a penalty”
It wasn’t a penalty. Move on. Stop blaming referees please, it’s boring.
It IS a pinalty. You Inter fans are pathetic 🖕🖕
Clear penalty…obvious to even the blind. That’s a Rugby tackle big time. Serie A refs are a disgrace.
Thought the rugby match finished on the weekend, didn’t realise it was going to continue at the San Siro today
Yeah that could be a penalty right?!
@R
What’s does a Inter fan do on a Milan page
He’s trolling
And Inter will probably claim the Bastoni vs Giroud situation was a penalty for them.
In the end Milan has to do better in front of the goal.
Had you watched the league cup over the weekend, you would have seen Liverpool goal was called back for the same reason, a Liverpool player holding in the penalty area, had it been a Chelsea defender holding a Liverpool striker for sure a penalty would have been called, but in Italy referees are different.
