A video has emerged showing one of the pillars of San Siro literally shaking which has caused new questions to arise over its structural soundness.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport report, one of the supporting pillars can be seen vibrating and moving from its casing, creating a crack in the floor, which has obviously caused some fans to worry. The clip is from an Inter home game, but not the derby in Sunday as it is daylight.
Inter and Milan have been aware of the San Siro vibration problem for some time, so much so that the capacity of the third tier in 2019-20 was reduced by 3,000 seats to limit the stress on the pillars.
However, the clubs are assuring that there is no danger or risk for the spectators at the Meazza, though it is easy to see why the clubs are keen on building their own stadium.
Impianto moderno? pic.twitter.com/6yHLpaFZeo— RossoneroSte (@RossoneroSte) February 8, 2023
If u know just a tiny bit about construction, you’d be concerned if it didn’t shake tbh.
