Santiago Gimenez notched his second goal for AC Milan in his second league game for the club as Hellas Verona’s resistance was finally broke.
With just over 15 minutes left on the clock, Milan finally got the goal that their second half pressure had suggested was coming.
A wonderful give-and-go involving Leao and Jimenez saw the latter chip a ball over the top for the former, who then took Montipo out of the game with a lobbed square pass to Gimenez, giving the Mexican the easy task of heading into an unguarded net.

The going rate for a header into an empty net, €37m.
tell that to Morata and he won’t argue with you, he did score a striker’s goal before this header but he was offside. He will get a shot off on goal and this game was a poor performance but a mature one as well
