One of the interesting things that has emerged from the Primavera’s UEFA Youth League semi-final win yesterday is Jan-Carlo Simic’s pre-match speech.
Simic has four Serie A appearances and one goal to his name and he has come across like a very mature defender when given minutes, something that seems to have transitioned into his leader status with Ignazio Abate’s side.
Yesterday during the win against Porto on penalties to book a place in the UEFA Youth League final, Simic was filmed giving a speech to the team before the huddle, encouraging them to fight hard in the two games that remained (now one) between them and making history.
Serious mentalidad from Simic pic.twitter.com/6rQltnnvn1

I will prefer give him chance in senior squad 1 years than thiaw or pelegrino or another young foreign import CB
Eh no thanks just sell him and bring me one of Brassier/Kelly/Adarabioyo.
Buy low, sell high baby, that’s the way!
And two of them are those ‘buy low, sell high baby’
He is our future. Saying that from the day I saw him in US playing against Vinisius. Amazing talent.
