Watch: Tomori gives Milan the lead against Salernitana with close range header

By Oliver Fisher -

Fikayo Tomori added to his AC Milan goal tally by netting the first goal of the night against Salernitana at the Stadio Arechi.

With 17 minutes on the clock, Milan took the lead and it had been coming with the pressure. A corner kick was flicked on to the back post where Leao was waiting, and he controlled with his chest before firing a low cross in that was headed in by Tomori from a few yards out.

    1. Take out Loftus-Cheek and put chuku this team really canā€™t even play again the bottom of the league. Like always amazing tactics keep passing to the back and than shoot it to the front hoping giroud gets it

  1. Well we are losing 2 goals to 1, those Pioli supporters enjoy these inconsistent performances.

Another master class by Milan. Please just sacked Pioli and yes Mike Maignan should have save the second goal but since scored we allowed the opposition to get back in the game and now we are behind.

    1. Half of them are injured and the other half doesn’t know what the f*** they’re supposed to do on the pitch. And then there’s Leao and a couple of others who couldn’t care less.

  2. We have equalised, but again this team is playing terrible football and the coach has no clue.

Fighting for a draw against Salarnita with the quality of player s we have is an absolute joke and this is squarely on the coach.

    1. But hey, let’s remember that Pioli is a SCUDETTO-WINNING COACH and Pippo has won nothing, eh?

FFS, Inzaghi seems like a f*ng Ancelotti compared to Pioli.

  3. The way this team plays under Pioli, Milan might as well just not turn up and spit a point apiece with the opposition to spare us the humiliation of these sort of performances.

  4. Idiaat Pee-holee
Scraping a point in a game against a team with 8 points & one win.
The boys did well to maintain intensity and equalized thanks to clarity (his meaningless words ‘intensity’ and ‘clarity’).
Pioli: We played better than sala for 60 minutes then lost clarity.
Oh my days, sack this baldie

  5. I don’t understand why the coach plays Leao against smaller sides… he has no interest in playing these games he only wants to play the big games… day to day it’s his rap-career he spends time on.

Anyone ever see Zlatan or Maldini picking up non-football hobbies in the prime of their careers? He’s in recording studios instead if the pool or gym. Sell him.

Is he the only one? No. This isn’t thr game where we start Giroud – If not against the last team in the keaguez when do we give our subs a chance? Let the boys with something to prove out there, instead of expecting the starters who are overworked to perform every 3 days…

Defensively. We’re short, fair. Bartesaghi should have started for Theo, with Kjaer and Tomori. Similar plays on the rught -Give them their moment.

Jovic should have started, Puli (our most professional athlete) on the left and Chuk on the right. Tell the team that Camrda is coming on, not Giroud, as he needs rest.

At that point you give the midfielders instructions to guide the young players and “play them good” to help them up a level, so they get their head in the game.

Sending a bunch of spoiled superstars that are overpaid overworked, and underestimated against the bottom of the league team – Something Pioli should know cause HE is the one who fails to motivate them, week after week.

Playing better than Sernitana for an hour isn’t good. It was 1-0, how much better did we really play? They turned the game around and we were lucky to walk with a point.

Man, it isn’t optimal to change coaches mid-season, but he’s making ot really hard to support him through till the summer. The team doesn’t believe in his ideas, or him, anymore, and we won’t get 4th place like this… new players in January? NOT sure I see the point… might be better to soems the budget on okayers that fit a future coach’s plans, considering our sporting directors are a scout and “CEO” who don’t seem to know what they’re trying to do.

    1. Well said, Vinnie. Well said.

“Man, it isnā€™t optimal to change coaches mid-season, but heā€™s making ot really hard to support him through till the summer.”

Yes. Until a week ago I thought it’s better to wait until the summer to sack Pioli. That changed now as Pippo Inzaghi proved everyone he’s a better coach than Pioli. Just look at the players he had vs the players Pioli had.
