Di Marzio: West Ham submit big offer for Lyon star – Milan could pocket €6m from sale

West Ham United have made a big offer to sign Lucas Paqueta from Olympique Lyonnais and AC Milan are watching on with interest, a report claims.

According to the latest from Gianluca Di Marzio among other sources, West Ham are very interested in bolstering their midfield department with the signing of Paquetá.

The Hammers have in fact presented an offer to Lyon worth €40m and the Brazilian’s agents are currently in London to try to close the deal before the window closes.

Paqueta arrived at Milan from Flamengo in the winter window of the 2018-19 season but he fell out of favour after a bright start and in September 2020 he joined Lyon where he has since racked up 21 goals and 14 assists in 80 appearances, which is a good return for a €20m signing.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) report that Milan did not just get that figure however as they also secured a percentage of the proceeds from future resale equal to 15%. If the West Ham move did get completed, Milan would therefore stand to earn around €6m.
