West Ham United boss Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that Niclas Füllkrug is set to leave the club and sign for AC Milan.
Having signed from Borussia Dortmund in the 2024 summer window, Füllkrug simply never got going with the Hammers. He scored just three goals in 18 months and missed plenty of games due to various physical issues.

Milan sensed the opportunity to sign the centre-forward on advantageous terms and have swooped to sign him on loan with an option to buy. West Ham head coach Nuno Espirito Santo spoke to Sky about the decision to let him leave.
“We wish him well. Clearly it was not working and we want to wish him well. We have a lot of things to think about. Small injuries and he never really got going over consecutive games,” he said.
Deal reached with Milan
It seemed like the price of a possible permanent dealwould be in the region of €12-13m, but this has now been revealed to be a lot lower. Matteo Moretto spoke about the situation, stating: “The option to buy is about 5 million euros. Ready a contract until the end of the season plus another year.”
Di Marzio added: “The operation is different from the Boniface one, there it was a sizeable figure. The option to buy surprised us, too. It’s €5m as buy-out, a low figure, really. He strongly wanted Milan also for the World Cup, which he would like to win with Germany.”

Stop gap but at least they didn’t spend big money on this desperate signing. If he manages more than 8 goals I will celebrate this signing. At least he’s a number 9 haha
To follow up on this I think the over under on his goal contributions would be 1 goal every three games. If he plays in 15 games then he can be rated as meets minimum expectations if he scores 5 goals. The only consolation is there is hope of marginally better production from the 9 spot for basically no significant investment
I think he is Origi 2.0 and maybe won’t score any goals for us. He last scored in April and has scored zero goals and provided zero assists this season for West Ham. He has scored 3 goals in 18 months with them which is 1 goal every six months (a truly Origi-like stat). One goal every 3 games? Dream on. This guy is washed, injury prone, and said by the West Ham fan base to be lazy. It’s a terrible signing. No risks with the formula chosen, but no benefits either, given that he is still another striker we are hiring, who can’t score.
Some fans are saying people said the same of Giroud and he worked out. This is a very silly take because Füllkrug is no Giroud.
Giroud was a great champion, the striker with most goals scored all time for France’s storied National Team. Putting Giroud and Füllkrug in the same sentence is an insult to Giroud.
Let’s have some hope
West Ham is really bad though. They are atrocious to watch.
“I think he is Origi 2.0 and maybe won’t score any goals for us. He last scored in April and has scored zero goals and provided zero assists this season for West Ham. ”
Well… Kind of like Santi this season, eh? You’re defending him while others are trashing him. I wouldn’t judge either of them yet. Both have had their injury issues and both have scored goals in previous lives. We’ll see. I’m optimistic. About both of them.
Not feeling great about a West Ham, non-scoring bench warmer. Can’t do worse than Gimenez, I guess.
Im emberassing which players we bring at club.
We just lucky because others play Cahmpions league Its emberasing bring Fulkurg i dont see diferents between him and Origi.
