Reports: West Ham out of race for PSG defender as Maldini seeks agreement on formula

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan seem to be the only team left in the race to sign Abdou Diallo from Paris Saint-Germain but there is still no agreement in place.

Milan are looking for a central defender in the summer mercato and Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) report that the door to Diallo is very much open now. Yesterday West Ham completed the purchase of Thilo Kehrer from PSG for €12m, meaning that they no longer want Diallo.

The Rossoneri directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara know that the English competition has faded away and therefore the chances of signing Diallo have been boosted. However, they must find an agreement with PSG sporting director Luis Campos.

Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) report that PSG want guaranteed money from his exit. While Milan are pushing for a loan with option to buy, the Parisians want it to be a permanent sale or an obligation to buy at least.
