CM: What filters regarding Milan’s plan for €32m Wolfsburg and Barcelona duo

As we head towards the end of the season decisions will have to be made on the players on loan, including Aster Vranckx and Sergino Dest.

According to Calciomercato.com, the management have not yet made a final decision on Vranckx’s future. The Belgian midfielder has played just 153 minutes for Milan this season and hasn’t been on the pitch for two months, with Tiemouè Bakayoko even playing twice since, so those are certainly not encouraging signs.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara were clearly convinced by the qualities of the 20-year-old but Pioli clearly does not see him as being ready just yet. However, Vranckx still has some chances of being bought by Milan.

Massara’s strategy is to wait until the end of the season and then try to renegotiate the figure agreed with Wolfsburg at around €12m as part of the original loan deal which included an option to buy.

It is a different discussion instead for Dest who will definitely return to Barcelona at the end of the season as Milan will not exercise their option to buy at €20m nor do they seem intent to negotiate it either.
