After weeks of difficult negotiations, AC Milan and Club Brugge are now close to finalising the Ardon Jashari operation.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), the breakthrough came yesterday after discussions between the player and the Belgian club’s president Bart Verhaeghe plus the CEO Bob Madou. The midfielder reiterated that he would not accept any other destination and only wants Milan.

Jashari has effectively thwarted the advances of the Premier League and Saudi Arabia, forcing Brugge to keep their word to sell him in the face of a record offer from the Belgian league. Milan had put €33.5m on the table, plus another €4.5m in bonuses.
Yesterday they made a further effort by increasing the fixed component to €34m. This will be the figure transferred from the Rossoneri’s accounts, unless there are any other surprises in the coming hours.

The dialogue between the clubs has accelerated as Rossoneri fans have been waiting for, and last night emails were being exchanged to finalise the details of the bonuses and payment methods. In short, the path is finally on the right track, and the final word could arrive as early as today.
There’s certainly more optimism at Milan’s headquarters than in the past, but only when the signatures are in place will it be possible to smile and put an end to this summer’s torment.
Ready to leave
Jashari will not be playing for Club Brugge today for the first leg of the Champions League third qualifying round against Red Bull Salzburg. This is another point on which the midfielder has reached agreement with the management.
He will therefore remain in Belgium and await the green light to fly to Milan. He could arrive in Italy as early as this evening or tomorrow to undergo a medical and sign a five-year contract worth €2.5m (potentially rising) plus bonuses.
With him, Massimiliano Allegri will have at his disposal a midfield of considerable depth that also includes Samuele Ricci, Youssouf Fofana, Luka Modric and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, as well as Yunus Musah and Warren Bondo. At least one of the latter two will be sold.
The Milan dream

Now it will be up to Max to decide how to use Ardon. Certainly, despite turning 23 a few days ago, Jashari already has a certain amount of experience: he won the Belgian league MVP in 2024-25 and is also familiar with the Champions League.
Modric dreamed of wearing the red and black shirt given he was a fan of the club while young, and Ricci admitted to Gazzetta dello Sport that he’s been a follower of Milan since childhood. Now, another new signing has Rossoneri DNA in his blood.
As a child, Jashari went to San Siro a few times to watch the club play. Is this an insignificant detail? Not for the leadership, who are building a team with strong Milan DNA, which naturally includes Matteo Gabbia and the core of the current squad (Rafael Leao, Mike Maignan and Fikayo Tomori).

Finalize the deal and let’s move to another phase of the mercato but the league commence.
This kid will bleed for the shirt, and this is something we were missing since Sandro left.

We have a great squad, should we add a couple more, giving Allegri a great arsenal of weapons, especially given we play with nice a week
The mind boggles
Dybala 2.0 … Noslin 3.0
What is it with you and Noslin?
My brother, please don’t patronize fools.
I believe this is not coz there is any change in payment installment, brugge is just too proud to admitted they r already losing jashari days ago since he was saying no for many times to other club and his broken relation with brugge (and a fact that brugge will lose jashari cheaper less than a year) , Milan just knew it and try to make it easy for brugge then…
I really find this transfer saga really strange. 40M looks really a lot, and somehow is the second time we come to Bridge looking desperate. Like we have found our savior, the next golden boy… but in reality, we gamble on inexperience player.
… Announced thats why Leao is 149mils and Nunez is 65
All of that is true. It’s a gamble for sure, and his potential value upside is likely a ceiling of 60-70M if all goes right, but if he’s the right piece of the jigsaw to get us back into the UCL and then a round or two more in the UCL then he’ll pay his fee back in no time.
We really do have to start moving a couple of midfielders on though, we have too many non-Italian players to register for Serie A at the moment and that’s already excluding Adli and Bennacer.
Maybe you’re right maybe you’re not…
But I really believe Ardon will shine during his time wearing red and black shirt…
HERE WE GO !!!
Fabrizio Romano announced it.
So, if I’m reading correctly, what unblocked the deal was 0.5m?!? I do t know who that looks worse on, us or them 🤦♂️
Well I think it may also have to do with the discussion Jashari had with the club’s president too.
Allegri will have to shield this kid from the transfer price and the pressure that comes with it. CDK buckled under it …
Thankfully he is not an attacker so there is no pressure to chip in goals & assists regularly. Due to the midfield depth we have now, he can be afforded some patience to adapt to the squad & league.
A privilege CDK certainly did not have.
Jashari will turn up great just like Tijani Reindjer was the MVP in his league when we bought. Jasharin was also MVP in Belgian league last season.
I believe. He has all it’s take to succeed at Milan his strong and also have good vision just like modric and ricci
So, should we ever deal with Brugge again? After this, I’d say no.
